The light, whether it’s the fire’s warmth or from candles, is a central element. Light symbolizes hope and the return of brighter days. Wreaths, music, and dancing all play a role in winter solstice traditions.\nThe act of giving is the sharing of spirit and goodwill. Wreaths symbolize the eternal cycle of nature. It’s a reminder of the balance between light and dark, life and death, and the seasons. The Winter solstice encourages introspection, the letting go of past burdens, and the anticipation of new beginnings.\nJoin us in celebrating the light within and in creating  a brighter future.\n🔸Live music and song\n🔸Circle of light dance (Outside weather permitting- bring jacket, etc.)\n🔸Talk: ReTurning to the Light Within with Sharona Stillerman, PhD\n🔸Meditation\n🔸Vegetarian dinner\n\nSpecial Guest: Sharona Stillerman, PhD, has been a student and teacher of Raja Yoga meditation for more than 40 years.  She is director of the Brahma Kumaris, Israel. Sharona was born in Wisconsin and studied in the USA and France.  She opened the first Brahma Kumaris Center in Boston, Massachusetts, and for 15 years worked as a senior lecturer in English at Boston University.
