What is holding you back from stepping into your potential? To return to wholeness and well being we need to look beneath the symptoms and discover the cause. The cause? Not knowing who we truly are; when we don’t know who we are there is fear; then we are flooded with negative feelings that give rise to ill health, physically and mentally.
Its time to live in the truth of who you are. Live on purpose. To express your own divine essense; the combination of inner qualities that is uniquely you and that are expressed and shared in a way that is yours.
 
In this day retreat we will:
  • Rediscover that everything we need is already within us. It’s time to talk about what is possible. We have the healing energies of peace, love, power, wisdom and happiness.
  • Create thoughts and feelings that are in harmony with the qualities and values of your inner self. In this light we can see how our stress, anxiety and illness is in fact a signal to ourselves that we have taken a wrong turn. Recognize these signals as your opportunity to get back on the right road.  
  • Develop Clarity with somatic breath work to support you in achieving a greater sense of self-awareness and capacity for healing. It also helps you to work toward overall improvement in mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
  • Experience a Divine Connection to the Unlimited Source of peace, love and truth. We get drained from the influence of all the negativity around us. It’s time to lay it down and connect within. The more we can keep focused on God the more we become filled with positivity and the less influenced we become by negativity.
Facilitators: Linda Welch and Elizabeth Padilla
Linda Welch has a Masters of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology. She spent many years in social service, politics and business before coming full circle and beginning a spiritual mentorship practice. The catalyst for this evolution was Clarity Breathwork and a deep yearning to surrender to the Divine. Through this work, she has come to trust that God will show her the way - no matter what the challenge. (Not always easy, but the deep inner peace that comes from living this way is so worth it!)
In addition to her spiritual mentoring and breathwork practice, she has a consulting business where she helps business owners discover how to have more impact in the world by focusing on who they need to BE in order to implement the strategies needed for personal and business success. Linda provides a safe environment for her clients to heal the wounds that keep them from living an expanded life with a strong connection to Divine Source. 
 
Elizabeth Padilla has been studying and teaching Raja Yoga Meditation since 1985. She has facilitated many seminars, workshops and value based programs, and is the program director at Anubhuti. Elizabeth is a talented singer and accomplished performing artist who touches hearts and souls through her work.

But often fear is not based in reality. And when fear takes over, we tend to Forget Everything And Run! It’s OK to feel fear but it’s not OK to let fear hold us back from what we really want to be and do. So, how about taking control of fear before it controls you, Face Everything And Rise!

  • Be fearless and work through your fears

Facilitator: Harsha Palli, B.Tech, has an M.S in Computer Engineering, is an IT Architect, and has practiced Raja yoga meditation since 2005. He resides at our San Francisco center and facilitates classes and retreats at Anubhuti. Harsha specializes in creating a very calm and clear environment for others to experience deep meditation and insights.

Journey inside moving life energy. Increase flexibility, relaxation, balance and concentration. Strengthen and enliven the body and spirit. Bring the inner smile out. Experience meditation in motion. Open to all levels. We warmup with Qigong and then transition to the Yang style long form Tai Chi set.

We will meet outside weather permitting, so please bring hat, sunglasses, windbreaker, gloves, etc.

Instructor, Fern Jeffcoat has taught Qigong and Tai Chi since 1993. She also practices and teaches Raja Yoga meditation. Fern combines movement, breathing and meditation to facilitate the integration of soul and body, which helps to ease into a state of health and wellness.

Class for new students starts on the date noted. Otherwise, class is on a drop-in basis. Contribution $10. Please check with our staff for details.

As we go through life, the challenges and changes we meet can help us either move forward, or undermine our health and resilience - often without our even noticing.  You deserve a day of wellbeing, calm and nourishment for the body, mind and soul. Learn how to be more in touch with and responsive to how we feel - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

In this day retreat we will:

  • Learn and experience peace of mind through Raja Yoga meditation

  • Discover how you can quickly flush out stress through movement and breath work.
  • Heal and strengthen the body, mind and spirit through step-by-step self-healing techniques

Facilitators: Rammohan Rao, Padma Rao, Elizabeth Padilla

Rammohan Rao, PhD in Biochemistry and Neurosciences, Ram has more than 15 years of research and teaching experience in Neuroscience and has published more than 50 peer reviewed papers in scientific journals and text book chapters. He went to CCA and received his certification as Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist. He serves as a faculty at the California College of Ayurveda and teaches in their Nevada city location. Ram is also a dedicated Hatha yoga practitioner and is a RYT. Ram has published several articles in major Yoga/Ayurveda journals and a featured speaker in several meetings and symposia. He is a member of the NAMA, member of the AAPNA and Science Editor of Ayurveda Journal of Health.

Padma Rao is an Information Technology Professional. She has been practicing Pranic Healing since 2008. Padma is also a Hatha yoga practitioner with an active Meditation practice. Padma offers her services to the community by facilitating Free Pranic Healing Clinic at the Anubhuti Retreat Center. Additionally, in her spare time and together with Ram, she offers consultations in Meditation, pranic healing and Pranayama techniques.

 

Elizabeth Padilla has been studying and teaching Raja Yoga Meditation since 1985. She has facilitated many seminars, workshops and value based programs, and is the program director at Anubhuti. Facilitators, Annie Jorgensen and Mohan Jain

Annie Jorgensen, M.S. in Educational Counseling, is an LVE Facilitator and a retired primary teacher and special education teacher who taught LVE for over 10 years, with stellar results. She is a wealth of experience and grounded in her years of experience working with people of all ages.

Mohan Jain, B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer IT Professional, workshop and retreat facilitator, and spiritual practitioner and educator since 1990. Mohan loves surprises and at the same time is organized and gives a step-by-step approach so others can clearly understand how to meditate.

Includes shared accommodation with private bath, wholesome and delicious vegetarian meals, and snacks with tea/coffee breaks.

Tai Chi / Qigong Class

Saturday mornings 10 to 11:30 am

Journey inside moving life energy. Increase flexibility, relaxation, balance and concentration. Strengthen and enliven the body and spirit. Bring the inner smile out. Experience meditation in motion. Open to all levels. We warmup with Qigong and then transition to the Yang style long form Tai Chi set.

We will meet outside weather permitting, so please bring hat, sunglasses, windbreaker, gloves, etc.

Instructor, Fern Jeffcoat has taught Qigong and Tai Chi since 1993. She also practices and teaches Raja Yoga meditation. Fern combines movement, breathing and meditation to facilitate the integration of soul and body, which helps to ease into a state of health and wellness.

Class for new students starts on the date noted. Otherwise, class is on a drop-in basis. Contribution $10. Please check with our staff for details.

Holiday Concert, Meditation and Tree Trimming Party

People of all cultures and backgrounds are invited to join us in decorating the holiday tree with ornaments from all faith traditions, sharing of music, good wishes and good company. The tree is a symbol of life in many cultures, and as we go through the season of darkness, we bring the tree inside to enliven our spirits.

Holiday treats and warm mulled cider will be served. Children are welcome.

Elizabeth Padilla- Singer, Composer, Actor

Kyoko Kimura, BA in Music Education and MA in flute performance. Kyoko is a resident of our San Francisco center and is a Raja Yoga practitioner and meditation teacher since 2000. She facilitates workshops and retreats on virtues, Positive Thinking, Stress Free Living, Inner Beauty, Inner Bliss and Self-Empowerment.  She also teaches values lessons through music at public schools in San Francisco, and facilitates summer camps for children and adolescents in the greater Bay Area.

Leon Gozar has been practicing Raja Yoga meditation for many years. As a tiny tot, she started singing on top of the dinner table in family gatherings. Later in music school, her teacher offered to give her vocal lessons. She then joined the Center for Pop Music- a school for aspiring pop singers. It wasn't until she was asked to sing in one of the Brahma Kumaris events that she discovered the joy of soul expression through music.

Elizabeth Padilla is a meditation teacher and practitioner with over 30 years of experience with Raja Yoga. She lives at Anubhuti, where she manages the programming and retreats. She also leads the Brahma Kumaris’ environmental initiative in the U.S. Elizabeth has graced dozens of Bay Area interfaith programs as a performer, teacher, and activist, has held staff positions at the San Francisco Interfaith Council and served on the Board of the Marin Interfaith Council. She is a gifted actor and singer trained at the American Conservatory Theatre and is currently touring with a one-woman performance called Songs of My Soul.
