God is the source of love, light, peace, and happiness.

God’s presence re-energizes and recharges our inner self and our inner strength.

We’re used to knowing things by seeing, hearing, touching... But we can’t see, hear or touch God. How can we tap into God’s presence, when we can’t see, hear or touch God?

We can read about God and listen to lectures about God, but it’s only through our own practice and exploration that we can experience God. 
 
Join us to understand:

  • How to use meditation as a tool to experience God’s unconditional love and power
  • How to use God’s presence to empower our self and build our love presence
  • ONE of the many perspectives on God

Facilitator: Denise Lawrence has a deep understanding of spiritual knowledge and practice drawn from 40 years of studying and teaching Raja Yoga meditation. She coordinates the International Communications Centre at the Brahma Kumaris headquarters in Mount Abu, India, helping to create a series of television programs on topics such as spiritual virtues, the meeting of science and spirituality, and environmental issues. Denise also travels widely sharing her knowledge and experience bringing the work of the Brahma Kumaris to a worldwide audience.

Harsha Palli, B.Tech, has an M.S in Computer Engineering, is an IT Architect, and has practiced Raja yoga meditation since 2005. Harsha specializes in creating a very calm and clear environment for others to experience deep meditation and insights.

Elizabeth Padilla is a meditation teacher and practitioner with over 30 years of experience with raja yoga. She lives at Anubhuti, where she manages the programming and retreats. She also leads the Brahma Kumaris’ environmental initiative in the U.S. Elizabeth has graced dozens of Bay Area interfaith programs as a performer, teacher, and activist, has held staff positions at the San Francisco Interfaith Council and served on the Board of the Marin Interfaith Council. She is a gifted actor and singer trained at the American Conservatory Theatre and is currently touring with a one-woman performance called Songs of My Soul.

Vaishali Jogi, MComm in management, professional account manager. Spirituality and the joy of sharing goodness have always been Vaishali’s passion. In her teenage years, she used to gather slum area kids and teach them the essentials of good living. Since pursuing a career as an MBA (finance) for the last twenty years, she has been offering meditation sessions, self-development workshops, yogic cooking and meditative dance movement classes to people of various faiths and professions at multiple locations in India and USA including City College of San Francisco where she serves as a principal accountant.

Topics Covered:

  • Reflect on values and a process to help kids, from toddlers to teens, explore and develop values of peace, love, respect, responsibility, tolerance, honesty, cooperation and happiness.
  • Refine active listening skills to help young people learn to listen to and process their own emotions
  • Enjoy learning attitudes and skills to build positive, healthy relationships with children and grow their resiliency 
  • Experience relaxation/focusing exercises that help young people be more centered and better able to self-regulate

Annie Jorgensen, M.S. in Educational Counseling, is an LVE Facilitator and a retired primary teacher and special education teacher who taught LVE for over 10 years, with stellar results. She is a wealth of experience and grounded in her years of experience working with people of all ages.

Thoughts create intentions which shape one’s attitude, actions, habits and characters.  Actions performed with positive intentions lead to successful outcomes that bring peace and happiness in all of us. When we become internally silent, we can discover our lives to be more meaningful and stabilize ourselves in the state of stillness and contentment. Stillness also allows us to go deep into our subconscious and to uncover the Truth about ourselves.

In this workshop, you will learn to:

  • Tap into the subconscious and to draw the spiritual powers through silence
  • Stabilize the mind by focusing on it to create meaningful, purposeful & significant thoughts 
  • Embrace situations and find solutions to obstacles and challenges
  • Go beyond the emotions and feelings and stay focused on the true meaning of life

Facilitator: Kyoko Kimura, BA in Music Education and MA in flute performance. Kyoko is a resident of our San Francisco center and is a Raja Yoga practitioner and meditation teacher since 2000. She facilitates workshops and retreats on virtues, Positive Thinking, Stress Free Living, Inner Beauty, Inner Bliss and Self-Empowerment.  She also teaches values lessons through music at public schools in San Francisco, and facilitates summer camps for children and adolescents in the greater Bay Area.

Open to all levels. We warmup with Qigong and then transition to the Yang style long form Tai Chi set.

We will meet outside weather permitting, so please bring hat, sunglasses, windbreaker, etc.

Instructor, Fern Jeffcoat has taught Qigong and Tai Chi since 1993. She also practices and teaches Raja Yoga meditation. Fern combines movement, breathing and meditation to facilitate the integration of soul and body, which helps to ease into a state of health and wellness.

Have you ever wished that you had the power to face difficult situations with courage and to find solutions with ease? Have you been able to make decisions about your life with self-confidence and with feelings of satisfaction and success?

Through the spiritual knowledge of Raja Yoga and the meditation practice, one can gain access to receiving the eight spiritual powers and use them practically in challenging moments in life.

These eight powers can help you to regain confidence, to navigate you through least travelled paths and to achieve success at every step.

In this retreat, participants will:

  • Learn to understand the self as an eternal spiritual being with its original qualities
  • Gain control over the negative thinking patterns and learn ways to transform them
  • Learn the method of connecting the self to the Source of all spiritual powers and have the access to the eight powers
  • Understand the meaning of eight powers and use the powers practically to solve problems, empower the self and others, and become successful in life

Activities include meditation, reflective exercises on qualities and role playing.

Facilitator: Kyoko Kimura, BA in Music Education and MA in flute performance. Kyoko is a resident of our San Francisco center and is a Raja Yoga practitioner and meditation teacher since 2000. She facilitates many workshops and retreats on virtues, Positive Thinking, Stress Free Living, Inner Beauty, Inner Bliss and Self-Empowerment.  She also teaches values lessons through music at public schools in San Francisco, and facilitates summer camps for children and adolescents in the greater Bay Area.

Special Guest Speaker- Golo Pilz, has more than 30 years’ practice in Raja Yoga Meditation and is an experienced meditation teacher who lectures on a wide range of spiritual topics. In 1989, he founded the charitable trust "IndiaCare" with headquarters in Berlin. Since Golo has lived in Mount Abu, India, he became a founding member of the Brahma Kumaris Environment Initiative and has participated and lectured at the UN climate change conferences every year.
